Three people were shot in a bodega Bronx Thursday night, police sources and witnesses said.
A 45 year-old man was shot in the back of the head, a girl of 16 years was wounded in the abdomen and a 12 years old girl was shot in the left leg, according to a police source.
Shots broke out at the grocery store Deli Astor on Ave. Astor on the corner of Holland Ave. in Bronxdale shortly before 20, fire officials said.
Witnesses heard three or four gunshots and described bystanders running and ducking for cover.
"I heard yelling and banging inside," said the witness, Winston Moss, 44. "It sounded as if someone tried to rob the store."
All three — whose names have not been released — were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, a police source said. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Another witness, who declined to give his name, said that she saw someone transported out of the store on a stretcher after being hit in the head.
"There was a lot of blood," said the woman. "People were screaming".
Police were hunting for two suspects, a police source said. There were no immediate arrests.
