The question is, do you feel lucky?
The Shamrock Shake, McDonald’s minty, St. Patrick’s Day treat, is back and available all over the country.
New Yorkers will be able to sip the the green dessert beverage throughout the metro area until the end of March.
And then it will be gone until 2013.
It may be easy to get your hands on the festive milkshake now but in recent years, it hasn’t been so easy.
In 2007, a Daily News reporter lamented the fact that there were no Shamrock Shakes in New York City while Boston, Philadelphia and southern New Jersey were stocked.
At the time, a spokesperson said that McDonald’s franchise owners were more interested in selling coffee drinks than the holiday treat.
But the public has spoken — and now there are Shamrock Shakes for all.
"We are happy to announce that Shamrock Shakes, which are served in a clear cup with whipped cream and a cherry on top, are now available in all New York area McDonald's while supplies last,” said a spokesperson for the fast food chain.
